He granted the Kree with the power of Cosmic Awareness and designated him the "Protector of the Universe." Captain Marvel returned to Earth, to resume his fight with Thanos and save the universe from destruction.

Eon teleported the Kree Captain Marvel to him to meet him in person, where he enlightened Mar-Vell through a series of visions, including showing him the past of the Eternals, Thanos and Titan. When Thanos was executing his plans to destroy all life in the universe. It was also an offspring of Eternity, as well as parent to the cosmic being Epoch. It served the universe from its own dimension, the Eonverse, while appointing various Protectors of the Universe as his champions. The Time-Keepers are not integral characters, they simply influenced and slightly changed some Avengers-related missions. In the comics, the Time-Keepers were introduced as creations of He Who Remains, a cosmic being from the previous universe, as a way to guide and alter the upcoming, new universe. The Time-Keepers decided that in order to prevent a future multi-dimensional war from happening again, they would combine the various timelines into a singular one which they would then monitor and control. In the orientation, the Time-Keepers are presented as survivors of a multi-dimensional war with extreme power and control. The Time-Keepers are introduced in Miss Minutes’ orientation video. The setting of the series is the Time Variance Authority, created by the all-encompassing Time-Keepers to protect the main timeline. The expansion into a brand new dimension and universe will heavily alter the course of the saga going forward.
